Since the advent of designer sunglasses even scientist hired by big designer brands try to come up with more protection from unwanted sun rays which are harmful for the eyes. These shades protect against UV rays, anti glares and are scratch proof. Due to sudden awareness about global warming scientist across the world are lured towards the concept of shades of gigantic size to somehow save earth.

Sunlight is extremely dangerous for the delicate eyes and you can’t miss your favorite shades when you go out in scorching sunlight similarly the concept of gigantic solar shades can block all the harmful rays which affect the earth. These sunglasses won’t be used by humans but will be placed thousands of miles above up into the sky.

This is very costly invention which is in progress to save the mother earth from all unwanted harmful rays. These shades will be super light which will be comprised of over 16 trillion solar shades which will help in diverting harmful rays. It is measured that if we succeed in diverting only 2% of the solar rays then we will be able to save the earth from the danger of global warming. The solar shades will have to cover a distance of 100,000km in width. The proposed area for the solar shades to orbit at is known as the “L1 point”. This is the point of zero gravity between the sun and the earth. The solar optics will have tiny solar panels attached which can act as rudders to provide a gliding ability for the optics to change direction if needed.
